Economy is falling, Stress is rising

October 28, 2008

Stress levels are rising, the economy is falling, and people are more wound up then ever. Meditation removes stress, increases creativity, and relieves tension.

Stress has always been one of the reasons that people are resorting to meditation. A lot of unpleasant consequences have resulted in ones inability to cope up with stress. Stress occurs due to heavy workload on the brain.

As we all know, stress is a psychologically agitated state which is the opposite of rest or relaxation.

Studies have found a direct correlation between concentration exercises (meditation) and the performance level of sports professionals. It’s like what these athletes term being in the ‘zone’.

Meditation strengthens the mind, it comes under control and is able to provide effective guidance to the physical body to effectively execute all its projects.

Studies also show an increase in overall happiness and emotional stability, while feelings of depression, anxiety and irritability tend to decrease. They also have shown meditation to be effective in treating stress and anxiety, improving the immune system, and treating chronic pain. People have also turned to meditation for help with substance abuse problems, eating disorders, drug addiction, and problems with sleeping.
