Audible, Inc, the leading provider of premium digital audio announced the launch of AudibleKids (www.audiblekids.com). Families can find and purchase digital children’s audiobooks available online (Submission Free!).

According to Audible, AudibleKids is an engaging, interactive community of parents, their kids, and educators that promotes the fun of storytelling through audiobooks. They are able to listen to books, read and post reviews, and share their favorites with others.

In order to share recommendations and discuss listening experiences, members have to create accounts and unique profiles.

Parents can listen to samples by clicking a „Green Button“ and, of course, buy them, simply adding the book to their carts. Audible is still a profit organisation, isn’t it?

Is Audible testing a new strategy for “grown-ups”?

Successful, longlasting communities almost always start off small, simple and focused (here: parents, kids and children audio books) and then grow over time (remember ebay’s first tag line „Your Personal Trading Company“ with the idea to serve individual buyers and sellers, rather than to becoming an online mall).

However, they will grow by adding features and complexity in response to the changing needs of the members, and the changing conditions of the enviroment.

Keeping the finger on the community pulse Audible will get the information it will need to evolve and update the platform.

The question: Will Audible for „grown ups“ adapt this strategy?

Parenting has recently appeared and has become very popular. It is not about formal education of a child at school. It is about parent-child relationship. The school gives a child general knowledge; at home parents give a child general wisdom of life as parents themselves understand it.

When people say “to parent” a child it means “to be a parent,” or “to fulfill parental duties.” Since everyone who has a child has to parent he or she has their own view on what their parental duties are.

Generally, the majority of parents admit that those duties are to provide for the basic needs of a child – the child’s need for security and development. This implies security and development of a child’s body, mind and soul. In other words, it is physical, intellectual, and emotional security and development.

Being a parent is a lot of things, but easy is rarely one of them. Thus, parenting can be a difficult job, however valuable parenting tips can make the job easier.

Audado Special Offers on Parenting

“Wonderful Ways to Love a Child” is a delightfully sweet and down-to-earth guide for parents who want to put love into action and give their children the very best start in life.
In „The 6 Most Important Decisions You’ll Ever Make“, Sean Covey, author of the international bestseller The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, gives teens the strong advice they need to make informed and wise decisions. Using real stories from teens around the world, Sean shows teens how to succeed in school, make good friends, get along with parents, wisely handle dating and sex issues, avoid or overcome addictions, build self-esteem, and much more. Jam-packed with original cartoons, inspiring quotes, and fun quizzes, this innovative bok will help teens not only survive but thrive during their teen years and beyond.

Wonderful Ways to Love a Grandchild

Honoring the unique role that grandparents play, this delightfully heartwarming and down-to-earth audiobook offers more than sixty inspiring suggestions for how you can actively participate in your grandchildren’s lives, whether they live down the block or across the country.

Judy Ford gives practical tips for being more than a purveyor of presents, for developing your identity as a grandparent, and for ways to complement and not conflict with parents.

Wonderful Ways to Love a Grandchild shows how to make every day count: a must-have for all grandparents!
