What is Twi?

Ghana is situated in West Africa, bordering with Ivory Coast to the west, Burkina Faso to the north, Togo to the east, and also the Gulf of Guinea to the south. It has a present population of about 24 million.

Ghana has a tropical climate, so be prepared to enter a relatively hot and humid environment. Ghana is rich in history and culture, and offers opportunities for learning around each and every corner.

The official language of Africa is English, nevertheless, Twi is an African language spoken in the southern two-thirds of Ghana. Twi language is among the major dialects of the Akan language which is a member of the Kwa sub-group under the Niger-Congo family of languages.

Like most languages spoken south of the Sahara, Twi is a tone language, which means that word distinction is determined not only by vowels and consonants, but also by the pitch on which each syllable is pronounced. There are lots of various dialects, but all dialects are mutually intelligible.

So You Need Help Learning Tagalog?

Many people have anxiety about learning a new language, but it does not have to be hard. It’s really quite a bit of fun if you don’t make it into a chore!

In today’s information age, you can find a variety of options to choose from for achieving this goal. You don’t have to try something that doesn’t feel right to you; figure out which system seems best for you. Once you find the right method for you, you will know it. Remember that whatever method you use, you have to give yourself time to make progress.
